Bernalillo Community Museum
Founded in 2020, the Bernalillo Community Museum is owned and operated by the Town of Bernalillo. Director Ashley Flores is committed to providing the very best exhibits and programs to tell the story of our amazing town.
Sandoval County Historical Society
The Sandoval County Historical Society, established in 1977, is a non-profit corporation with members from all over the country. Its mission is to identify, preserve, and bring before the public the history of Sandoval County. They maintain an extensive print, photo, and genealogical archives as well as a library.
Friends of Libraries and Literacy
The Friends of Libraries and Literacy provides support to libraries and literacy initiatives through sales of community-donated books and media in the Friends Shop located on the library’s upper level. The Friends have funded our programs since 2021, including our Summer Reading Program, ongoing Bernalillo History Series, music literacy events, and more.
ReadWest Inc. (ESL Program)
ReadWest, Inc. is a non-profit literacy agency providing one-to-one tutoring by trained volunteers. ReadWest is an Accredited Affiliate of ProLiteracy. Sixteen standards of quality are continually achieved to maintain ProLiteracy accreditation. Since its inception, ReadWest has provided over 4,000 adults with literacy services and is expanding to meet the growing needs of our community. ReadWest has served Bernalillo and Sandoval Counties for 30 years!
