How to Use Flipster
Via a computer, tablet, or phone:
Click on the Flipster link on your library’s website, enter your library card information or a username and password provided by your librarian, and access a site where you can browse available magazines.
You can click on a magazine to view it within your browser. This means that you can access Flipster from the computer library, your home computer, your phone, or your tablet, as long as you are connected to the Internet.
The Flipster app:
The Flipster app offers offline viewing of downloaded content on your mobile devices. To download the free Flipster app, search the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store for “Flipster - Digital Magazines”.

How do you access Flipster?
• Access Flipster online using the web browser of your computer or mobile device.
• Offline viewing available via the Flipster app for iPads and iPhones, Android Phones and Tablets, and side-loaded to Kindle Fire Tablets.
• Search by title, keyword, or browse by category (available in three platforms, coming soon in Android)
The Flipster Home screen is the default search screen and offers the ability to search for titles by keyword, as well as browse by Category, Latest Issues, and All Issues.
To create a Basic Keyword Search:
1. From the Home Screen, enter your search terms in the Find field and click Search. A Result List of magazines that qualify for your search is displayed.
2. Click the “Read now” link to launch the latest issue of the magazine. You can also click on either the magazine title or the “View back issues” link to access the detailed record where you can view all available back issues.
How to Use Libby
With Libby, you can enjoy free ebooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines from your library. All you need is a library card.
Step 1
Download or open Libby on your device:
- iOS devices: Apple App Store
- Android devices: Google Play
- Amazon Fire tablets: Amazon Appstore
- Windows, Mac, and Chromebooks: libbyapp.com
Note: libbyapp.com works best in up-to-date versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Step 2
In Libby, follow the prompts to find your library and sign in with a library card:
- Search for "New Mexico Library To Go"
- Click on "Sign in with my card"
- Find "Martha Liebert Public Library"
- Sign in with you Library Card number and use your last name for the PIN. (Note: it may instruct you to enter your phone number, but that will not allow you to log in. Please use your Library Card number instead.
- Call us at the library or stop in to visit if you're having any trouble!
Step 3
Find something to borrow:
- Tap Search to find a specific title, author, series, etc.
- Tap Library to browse your library's catalog. You'll find helpful filters, catalog guides, campaigns, and curated lists created by your library.
Your selection will vary based on your library, since each library chooses what titles and formats to offer in Libby.
Tip: Not ready to read a title, but want to keep track of it? Tag it for later.
Step 4
Your loans and magazines appear on your Shelf . By default, all book and audiobook loans are downloaded for offline use when you have a Wi-Fi connection.
On your Shelf:
- Tap Loans to read or manage your borrowed titles.
- Tap Holds to see your place in line and manage your holds.
- Tap Timeline to see your Libby activity history.
- Tap Notices to see in-app notifications for your loans and holds. Choose what you want to be notified about under Menu > Notifications.
- Tap a magazine on your Magazine Rack to start reading.
